Born in Seattle and raised in Southeast Asia, I am an independent writer and director. My first feature film, "Knots: A Forced Marriage Story” is an award-winning documentary about forced and child marriage in the U.S. It's also the subject of my TEDx Talk.
I am a published author, short story writer, and essayist, and have collaborated on several art and media projects. Most recently, I performed my written piece about being evacuated from Kyiv in 2022 as part of a WordTheatre event in London. I graduated from the Florida State University film school, and have lived and worked around the world. My next two features are horror films.
